Hi, I’m Ben Cravens.
I work as a Machine Learning engineer in industry. I’m studying part time a masters in AI focused on AI security. I’m also very interested in AI policy and governance.
Unlike many people in this space, I am not a rationalist or effective altruist. As a Christian (Anglican), I’m interested in building a future where humans are empowered by AI, and I believe good governance is the path to doing this.
Everything on this blog is written by me - I don’t use AI for writing in any way.
In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, reading (I enjoy political science, history, and thrillers), hanging out with my fiancee, staying social, and gardening.
